The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has sanctioned Rs 1,533.90 crore as a loan to Gujarat for the development of various infrastructures in the state.

The funds will be utilised for the development of critical infrastructure such as irrigation and construction of warehouses in Gujarat. This includes an irrigation project of the Kachchh Branch Canal System for which a loan of Rs 1,407 crore has been granted under the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund XIX (RIDF-XIX).
